After the launch and the first sales of new cutting machine Typhoon 920, IMA has been concentrating in the renewal of Formula machine series which is completely changed starting from the name.
In fact the new generation it’s called VORTEX series and the new name chosen for the different models will be on the trail of Typhoon:
– Tempest 30 (for 30 cm compressed)
– Storm 50 (for 50 cm compressed)
– Hurricane 70 for hard/rigid fabrics (for 70 cm compressed) – Cyclone 100 (for 100 cm compressed)
By this new series the cutting machine is now much more performing. We have improved the efficiency of the machines not only in terms of quality, but also in terms of productivity.
Here below the most significant improvements:
– CNC of latest generation which increases the reliability and the performance of the machinery
– Digital motors with extreme precision made by Mitsubishi.
– New CCC with innovative and user-friendly interface: applications have been redesigned graphically and in functionality, with particular attention to ergonomics and ease of use.
– Enhanced vacuum system to increase fabric stability (as typhoon – possibility to fix it on Hurricane 70 and Cyclone 100).
– Blade speed up to 6000 rpm with counter-rotating masses for vibration reduction (as Typhoon – possibility to fix it on Hurricane 70).
– Advanced reporting of performed jobs.
– Possibility of integration into the Syncro Cutting Room System thanks to digital controls. Thanks to this, the new IMA cutter series can be integrated into the Syncro Cutting Room system, which nowadays is for use both on the web and within the corporate network.

The initiative organized by the Rotary Club Franciacorta, in collaboration with the University of Brescia and our company, takes place for the second year. IMA has sponsored 3 scholarships for students of the Engineering course.
Even this year in memory of Giacomo Catteno, one of IMA young employee, died several years ago in a car accident.
On June 18th, during the convivial dinner of the Rotary Club Franciacorta, at the Hotel Turing in Coccaglio, we had the honor of conferring the 3 scholarships to the most deserving students, in the presence of the Magnificent Rector of the University of Brescia and the President of AIB association.
An initiative we are proud of and that is in line with the company policy of promoting research and development, also through these young students who will be one day the future of our companies, because they will come in to improve and make them grow technologically and not only.

On April 12th & 13th IMA ASIA has arranged a motivational programme to keep up the energy within the team. The programme has been conducted by Professional Consultant on TIME MAMANGEMENT, PERSONALITY DVELEOPMENT AND PROFESSIONAL APPROACH ON SALE LEAD. This is to improvise the work practice of our team and carry themselves professional to customers. Also Sales Agents have been invited to participate to gain knowledge on better work practice of Sale & Marketing.
“This is one initiative we took to enhance our staff’s personal skills to approach the clients in better way for sales and technical calls. And to have a comfortable environment in between the team to make them positively supportive towards other team members” says Mr. Guna Sekaran, the Managing Director of IMA ASIA.
